Hotspots & Action lists aren't being created as prefabs

Hey folks,

I've just noticed that new hotspots and action lists aren't being created as prefabs, whereas old ones were. Everything in blue was made in the past, the new things made today are below.

Anybody know why this might be?

  • Try to add some remember component and check retain in prefab.

  • This has been the case for a while, now - do you recall how long ago the earlier ones were created?

When objects are created from the Scene Manager, they're now automatically detached from their original AC prefabs. Previously, it was all a bit too easy to inadvertently click "Apply" in a scene object to send a scene object's changes back to the original AC prefab, messing up a project.

You're still able to create new prefabs out of your objects, however.

  • Oh easily a year. I just hadn't clocked the change until now, early to the party as always!

I certainly had fallen for the old 'apply' mistake in the past in messing up the prefabs so it's great to know this is intended. Like you say, it makes the system more robust. Good one Chris. +2 Chris Points.
