Portrait Resolution

So I'm trying to figure out how to get quality out of the animated portraits. If we create an animated strip that's over 4k in width, the height will get crunched down to less than 100 pixels. 

Is there a work around for this? I'm assuming you thought of it.

I'm realizing now that I can only have a certain amount of frames of animation and size here. I have 60 frames per loop, which I could always bring down - but if there's another way...

I'm looking into having a "grid" option, whereby you can arrange frames in both rows and columns.  Would that solve the issue?
