Menu order

Hi,
I have two menus with adventure creator source: Subtitles and conversations. How can I decide which of the two is displayed on top of the other when both are active?

Thanks a lot

Have you tried editing/sorting the order in the Menu Settings?

PROTIP: When two AC menus overlap, their drawing order is based on their order in
the Menu Manager: the bottom-most menu in the list will be drawn above all others.

The one you want on top, should be lower then the other then, that's why it's important to keep Hotspot at the bottom of the Menulist, to keep interactions intact.

  • Hey thanks for the tip. I tried to change the order as you said but nothing changes :( Did I missed a checkbox or something? Is it a bug?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Can you post a Screenshot of your menu order? And what you are trying to achieve exactly, do you mean they are overlapping maybe?

Okay so I hope these links work.

I have the subtitles menu and a conversation menu. The subtitle menu has a black background which overlays the conversation options. I can choose them but they are not clear to see, because they are in the background I think. Even if I change the order of the subtitle and conversation menu it looks the same. It would be cool if the conversations are more visible.

Thanks a lot for the help!

  • The Subtitle menu's background looks to be fully opaque - you can't see the scene's graphics behind it. If it were being drawn atop the Conversation menu, I'd expect you wouldn't be able to see the options at all.

Is there any change in the options display when:

    1. The Subtitles menu is not showing?
    2. The Conversation menu's background is removed?

I've attempted a recreation but so far can't get the same behaviour. What are your AC and Unity versions?
