First Person Player Only Walking Forward, Back and Sideways Buttons Don't Work?

edited May 2014 in Technical Q&A
I have just started using Adventure Creator, let me first say, love it. But I have encountered a problem (that is probably easily fixable). I am using the first person movement style, and I can only move forward. Using the WASD keys, when I push W it works just fine. But when I push S, for example, my character just starts the walking animation but stays in place. And when I push the A and D keys, my character starts moving forward just a TINY bit, but not sideways at all. I have used these tutorials to set up my character:

First post on the forum, hopefully I'm doing this right. If anybody could help me figure out what the issue is, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • So in case anybody else is having this problem and they need the solution... and they're a moron like me... the answer is to uncheck "Apply Root Motion" on the animator component of your character....
