Change position of inventory

How can i have the inventory items now show the way they do (by sliding when the mouse goes on the top side of the screen)? I need to have a button when the user clicks on in to have an inventory box appear with items and be able to close it.

You mean an inventory bar that toggles on and off from a separate button?

Create the button in a separate menu.  In it's ActionList that runs when clicked, use the Menu: Check state Action to detect whether or not your Inventory menu is visible.  If it is, turn if off (with Menu: Change state), otherwise, turn it on.
