A way to dynamically hide/remove Unity UI inventory slots not in use?

edited June 2015 in Engine development
I don't want to use the normal way of scrolling the inventory (clicking an arrow to shift right/left/up/down), and would rather have the option to use a scrollable rectangle with Unity UI, with a scrollbar and the whole shebang.

I have it working, but the issue I'm having is the empty inventory slots are being rendered, giving me a big empty block of scrollable empty space, so you can see in this animated GIF (decided to make them clickable for people on mobile with limited data plans (like me :P)).

Here's the UI in the editor:

And the structure of the canvas and contents:

  • This was fixed in the latest release, in fact: have you upgraded to v1.46e?
  • That's weird. I upgraded today, and it says 1.46e at the bottom of the menu manager, I'll see if it works in a new project!
