Hotspot label customisation

Hi all. Is there any way to dynamically update a hotspot label? My idea is that when the mouse hovers over an interaction button (through a custom script that has been added as a component to the button) it will change the hotspot label to add a prefix. i.e. if the hotspot's name is TV, it will change the hotspot label to be "Look at TV". And when you move the mouse away it just reverts back to the original hotspot label.

  • The 2D Demo does this, if I'm understanding you correctly.  The Hotspot label should automatically update itself with the cursor icon name, provided you've checked Prefix cursor labels? in the Cursor Manager.

Otherwise, if you're using Unity UI, I suppose you could use a "dummy" Text object that normally copies the contents of the proper Hotspot Text, except for when you want it to.
