How to limit character movement to just lef/right?

Hello,

This is probably a stupid simple thing but I'm just not getting it. If I want my scene to be completely side-scrolling, how do I prevent the character from being able to move up and down in the scene when i apply the player object to it?

As soon as I do, it stops responding properly to gravety and can just move in any which direction you input on the keyboard.

Can I not use the player object at all for this or?

  • To complete the same task I've just created a thin rectangle NavMesh, selected Straight down NavMesh search direction and set NavMesh search to 1%.
