Mini-Game Integration

Have a Playmaker-based mini-game I'm using in AC. Problem is the cursor disappears when I launch it and I can't click on any of the buttons in the mini-game. I've used the TurnOffAC method. Mini-game is being rendered over top. Put the mini-game on it's own layer and did a layer mask to constrain the raycast to the mine-game layer. Still no go.

Is there a "best practice" for integrating mini-games into AC, or should I just make them a separate scene?

Thanks.

  • BTW, I'm calling the mini-game from an Inventory Interaction using a "Third-Party PlayMaker" action.
  • Try using the Engine: Manage systems Action.  That was introduced after the TurnOffAC method, and you can use it to have full control over what's deactivated.

To re-enable control, you can call an ActionList's "Interact" method (either directly of by sending a message) to run another such Action to turn things back on.
  • Excellent! Thanks, Chris!
