[Feature Request] Custom Translatables

The translation and text gathering system is extremely powerful. I wonder whether you could introduce a component, that when attached to a gameobject, would add that game object to gatherable text values and translates them. Perhaps even an abstract class, which for each different type of translation users could implement themselves. This would be useful for various super altered and animated texts, like cafe and bar billboards, etc. The stuff that is closer to scene objects rather than menu elements, but still has to be translated.

  • What would the benefit be over Local String variables?  You can retrieve their values through script and apply to GameObjects as necessary.
