Subtitles flash briefly when subtitle display off

Hi,

UNITY 2018.1.6fi
AC 1.63

I have audio playing for my dialogue, and have turned off subtitles in the hotspot, yet they flash briefly. I have my speech manager set to 0 minimum display time. See images here and a brief video of flashing hotspot:

You talk about hotspot but show images of your subtitle menu.  Which is it?  I see no subtitles flashing in the video.

Apologies, I meant i have turned off subtitles in the manager. The subtitle flashes once very quickly, and they are only completely removed if I set Subtitles menu to 'start game locked off' see this video to see them flash once as dialogue is said:

Right, but what did you mean by "turned off subtitles in the hotspot"?  Is the "Subtitles" option unchecked in your Options Menu / at the bottom of your Settings Manager?

What effect does unchecking "Duplicate for each line?" have?

Sorry, I meant turned off subtitles in the Settings Manager not hotspot. But yep, unchecking duplicate for each line fixed it! thanks
