Making something walk upside down

edited September 2014 in Technical Q&A
Ive got a spider I want to run on the underside of something, ie upside down, but for some reason I cannot get it to work, even with facing markers etc, he always runs the right way up. Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

  • Maybe flip the spider's pivot point vertically? So the gameobject technically faces down but the spider is upside-down inside it.
  • yeh I tried everything, it somehow rights itself..

That's a measure to prevent characters from "leaning" when the Marker's rotation isn't level.  Have you considered just flipping the animations themselves?  You may also be able to attach the model as a child object of the NPC script component, and then simply rotate/flip the child.
