Skip timeline?

Yo guys,

I am using Engine: Control Timeline for my cutscenes. I use sometimes cinemachine and sometimes new AC timeline features, but it doesn't matter because everything works perfectly there! However some timelines are too long and some have many repetitions during the gameplay, so I want to have the ability to skip them. Is there any way to skip Timeline in Engine: Control Timeline or maybe other solution?

Thanks,

  • Individual Engine: Control Timeline Actions cannot be skipped, but the ActionList they are placed in can be. If the ActionList is skippable, invoking the "EndCutscene" input will skip the Timeline.

  • Thank you, Chris:)

  • Hey Chris:)
At last, I found time to check this question and I am not sure if it works.

I go to Edit-Project Settings-Inputs and create there new input called EndCutscene and set button to let say the letter "t". Next, I create a hotspot PlayCutscene which calls a simple action list Cutscene with Engine: Control Timeline and some animation inside. Is skippable is activated. When I press a hotspot PlayCutscene everything works and I see this animation but when I press "t" nothing is happening. I've tried other letters, tab, escape but nothing...Please take a look on screenshots:

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks:)

  • Check Wait until finish? inside the Engine: Control Timeline Action.

Without it, the Cutscene completes as soon as the Timeline begins - therefore there is no Cutscene to skip, so far as AC is aware.

  • Yahoooo!!! It works! Coooool, thank you Chris:)
