making an area unclickable for walking

So I have an area with some unity ui buttons, but when the player clicks on the buttons the player tries to walk to the area behind it.
What can I do to prevent this area from being walking-clickable?

  • Are the UI buttons connected to AC's Menu Manager? If so, they should automatically block movement clicks.

    You can enforce this for all UI elements, however, by checking Unity UI blocks interaction and movement? under "Interface settings" in the Settings Manager.
