Deleting Hotspot Interaction gets reverted on reload or EnterPlayMode

This happens with Hotspots from an older version of AC. When I do the following:

  1. Remove an Use interaction with or without an ActionList attached.
  2. Save the scene
  3. Reload the scene OR enter play mode

What happens is that the deletion gets reverted, however just disabling interactions gets saved properly. This does not happen with newly made Hotspots.
Tried to reproduce this issue in the Demo's Basement scene with no success.
I have no additional scripts attached to that object. http://prntscr.com/ov03fc

Any idea what could cause this or how I could attempt to resolve it?

As always, great work and thank you for your help!

  • By "remove a Use interaction", you mean clicking the Cog icon to the right and choosing "Delete"? I'm afraid I can't recreate.

What is the difference between "new" Hotspots, and those that it occurs for? In Unity versions that have the new nested prefabs feature, AC will automatically detach AC objects (such as Hotspots) from their prefabs upon creation.

Perhaps the problematic Hotspots are those that are still prefabs? Try right-clicking one in the Inspector and choosing "Unpack prefab" - does it then behave?

  • Yes, thats what I ment.
I unpacked the prefab and it works now, fantastic!

I'm ashamed that I didn't think about the Unity prefab update, whops...
