Subtitles text not truncated

edited April 2019 in Technical Q&A

So if I have excess text (longer than the subtitles menu width), the excess is simply cut away and not displayed... (i.e. not truncated into a new row below - even though the height of the menu is very big).
Also, no matter the length of the text - the last character in the line is ommitted from the display (even if text is smaller then menu width). Problem persists even when changing the menu's width to automatic.

What am I missing?
Thanks!

Please share uncropped screenshots of your menu's properties - I can't see your size options for the "SubsLineLabel" element.

It is recommended, however, to switch to Unity UI for menu rendering. The default menus each have a Unity UI variant that you can switch to via the Source option.

Also, no matter the length of the text - the last character in the line is ommitted from the display (even if text is smaller then menu width).

What is your AC version? This was addressed in v1.66.6.
