Crossfading between song loops

I find that a common problem in adventure games is that when you notice that the background music is looping, you get an awkward feeling of time passing. Hard to express but I know I'm not alone in this :)

Of course this is way more noticeable when there is a silent pause between the loops.

I would love for the action that plays music (and if you choose to loop) to have the possibility to enter a crossfade time used to crosfade between the loops of the song - so the song would crosfade into itself.

  • I would have to give it some thought - I understand your meaning, but it's implementation is not so trivial.

  • This would be great for ambiance tracks as well, perhaps even more so.
