Mechanim "Wait until Finished"

I notice that with Mechanim Animate actions (as opposed to legacy) there's no "Wait until Finished" option. Is there a reason for this and/or practical alternative? Currently I'm timing out the individual animations and adding a corresponding pause, but I know that's a bad way of doing it. Many thanks,

  • I think I just answered my own question: it's because the action is affecting a Mechanim parameter rather than playing an animation directly. If Play Custom is chosen, even with the Mechanim animation engine, the "wait until finished" option is available.
