  • @Alverik we are certainly aiming to release something, but i'm not sure if i'm yet at the point to throw everything out / reduce it to something new, but stopping and salvaging it certainly came to mind from time to time ;) .... thanks for your mo…
  • @Kalero to be honest, the level of detail I targeted is simply too high for a lone person or even a small team... we are currently working on new Sets, but I doubt we'll ever complete more than the first "chapter" (for a lack of a better t…
  • Thanks! ;)
  • the camera is a perspective (with a very narrow, "orthographic style" field of view when zoomed in). with a stricktly orthographic camera It would not have any 3d feel.
  • Hi everybody! Thanks @jakub!! and yes sorry! I must admit I wasn't really active in the last year or so... (had too much contract work) We (and the project) are definitely still alive ;) but after ~4 years the batteries started to deplete, so it wa…
  • "and just show it on top of everything else when needed." I did the same thing for my closeups.... just build them in the same scene outside the view (with their own cams) and cut to the camera as needed.
  • yes could be.. but wouldn't it make more sense to align the spritechild (lookat) to the camera instead of 'cloning' the rotation of the camera? or this is a 2D or 2.5D necessity? anyway I can get by using playmaker i guess, just wondering... thanks…
  • @ChrisIceBox I get the feeling we are talking about different things... I was talking about something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f2xwm69phq844ly/align_to_3dCam.gif?dl=0 I solved it with playmaker (still have the problem that the NPC scri…
  • VR? no, I was just mentioning it with the hope to get to the root of the problem earlier or at all ;) . Maybe something changed due the enhanced camera / plugin support? I've PMed a dropbox link to the modified brain2d as NPC to you quite some time…
  • unfortunately it is set to 3D... i toggled it to 2d and back to 3d, without any effect, the sprite doesn't align. does the alignment work for you when you drop the brain2d npc I sent in a 3d scene? (static npc, moving camera) it does work in the ol…
  • yes, I matched the settings of the Brain2D player script values, but I don't move the character at all, just flying with the cam from left to right... when i press play, the "front sprite" of Brain gets displayed on the NPC sprite, but th…
  • i've added Brain2D to my testscene, replaced the player script with the npc script, replaced the 2d rigidbody and collider with 3d ones, changed the tag and layer to 'NPCs'.... when i move my main character through the scene, the sprite child doesn…
  • i've done this by placing triggers all over the scene which enable/unhide or disable some hotspots. maybe not super elegant, but it worked fine.
  • great update, thanks for your continuing support!
  • i requested that about half a year ago ;) http://www.adventurecreator.org/forum/discussion/2085/request-pause-with-more-than-10secs-and-other-nodes#latest I have to use multiple pauses all the time.... i never understood why a additional textfield…
  • playmaker works great for something like that
  • well fine :/ i give up then.... but I honestly don't see a reason why supporting - official - camera effects would be that "wrong" on your part, not everybody knows how to do it, and i think every new client of AC expects this to work prop…
  • I've also googled a bit and this unity answer came up: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/530178/how-to-get-a-component-from-an-object-and-add-it-t.html could this be implemented into AC?
  • @Gog0 thanks for sharing your script aswell.. I took the path of putting it on the ground and not on the character because i wanted the character prefab to work in every scene without any hassle, but i'm a unity noob, so maybe this is flawed thinki…
  • yap, the new art style is great!! keep it up!
