This is just a suggestion, but it would be nice if the assets in the download page had version numbers/release dates so by just looking at it we know if we are using the latest version available.
My custom actions seem to be working normally.

You need to have a capsule collider in the root of the player.
Try to see if that works.
Also check that the AC player component and bridge are below the UCC scripts in the inspector.
