How to restore settings after AC update?

Where can I find step-by-step instructions on how to restore things overwritten as a result of AC update. I do have a full backup, so nothing is really lost.

    Actually, this is currently covered in the Manual.pdf, section 1.6 - UPDATING ADVENTURE CREATOR.
