Hi
I have a sprite sheet with icons that have been sliced up using the unity sprite editor. I am able to expand the sprite sheet hierarchy in the project window and can drag and drop the individual sprites onto various Unity components which accept sprites such as the Image component. However I seem unable to use these sprites for AC 2D textures like cursor icons. Am I missing a step or is there a work around for this?

I have noticed this as well.
Cursor icons do not accept Textures of the type Sprite - they must instead have their "Texture type" set to Cursor. Sprites can only be assigned directly if they are single-use - not sliced up.
If you wish to use sprites for your cursor, you can do so with the Unity UI-based cursor script on the wiki. This also allows for sprite-based cursor animation.
