Not sure what's happening here, but for some reason my text scroll is lagging in builds. Does anyone know how to solve this?
This is what it looks like in Unity
And this is in Builds
As you can see from these videos, it works fine in Unity, but in builds for whatever reason it is lagging.

What are your AC/Unity versions, and what assets/components/settings are involved in rendering the subtitles? The waving animation isn't a part of AC, but is waiting for the scrolling to complete.
Best to see screenshots of your Speech Manager, Subtitle menu/element's properties, and the Text component itself.
Unity Version: 2021.3.1f1
AC Version: 1.78.4
The text animations come from the Text Animator asset for Unity

Then here are those screenshots:

Also, looking at the statistics in play mode, it seems that there is hardly any difference in performance from when it's scrolling and when it's not.
Are there any other scripts/components involved? It looks like AC is handling the scrolling, but Text Animator is only kicking in after its complete - is it being explicitly commanded to do so?
Does the lag remain if you temporarily remove the Text Animator component?
Hmm, it looks like removing that component gets rid of the lag....
The other asset's author may have some advice, in that case.
