  • Turns out I'd switched off Multiple Directions and got mixed up with Diagonal Directions. Whoops. You can delete this thread if you want.
  • Retried Brain, which worked, deleted my character and retried it again and it's working properly. o_O Very odd. I repeated the same steps, so I don't see how I did anything differently.
  • I think I've fixed it! On closer inspection, the position of my character as they walk was completely off. Compared to the idle position, the whole walking sprite looked like it was elevated. Correcting it seems to have fixed it. :D Thanks for all …
  • @Alverik Just the right look in the animation. I know AC can help with the layer sizing as the character approaches the camera. But yeah, I just need to get my head around how to animate the character as though they were walking forward/towards the …
  • @Alverik I had no idea you could do that in After Effects. Pretty cool. I'm still a newbie to all of this and have been learning bits and pieces whilst at college. I have my character designed already with some basic animations, but I'm just trying …
  • No, it doesn't occur with Brain. I'll have to have another look at it tonight and try and match everything. I had a little go with that last night as well. My character sprite is still walking and standing in the tree, so yeah I think it's the Sort…
  • Was your Brain sprite completely modelled in 3D but made to look 2D? My sprite is completely 2D and flat. But yeah, it's the feet I'm having problems with. I followed a guide on rigging and animating a 2D sprite in Blender (it's all new to me), but …
  • I'm a bit lost with how to do a front-facing walk animation in Blender. How did you go about doing the feet?
  • These particular sprites were animated using After Effects and rendered as a PNG sequence. Could that be why? I'm not getting an Apply button when I change the Pivot. Okay, I've sorted out the pivot on all the sprites. I selected all of the frames …
  • Okay, my mistake - the box I was referring to is what appears when the Rect Tool is selected. The pivot point shows for my character, but clicking the Pivot option doesn't change its position. It should switch between the bottom or the centre, but w…
  • Couple of screen grabs... And I did try setting the local position to 0,0,0 as well. https://imgur.com/a/tHV6A
  • For some reason, my sprite doesn't have an outer box like the Brain character does and therefore they have no pivot point. Not sure what's going on there. I have two Unity windows open - one with Brain and the bird, the other with my character and t…
  • Oh, okay. Can't say I've ever tried 2D in Blender... If I can't figure out a way to do it in After Effects I may have to give that a try. Thanks.
  • Perfect. Thanks. :)
  • I'm not sure. How do you do this?
  • Thanks for pointing that tip out. However, for some weird reason, when using hardware, when I take the worm from the inventory to be used, the image of the worm is all distorted.
  • Awesome. Just cracked it. I set a toggle on at the end of the first line and then linked it back to the original dialogue box. Thanks. :)
  • Cool, I'll have to look into that this evening. Thanks. The 'Hi, bird.' disappears, but the 'Whoa, you can talk!' doesn't even appear. My AC is 1.62.2 and Unity is 2017.3.1f1. As for the last question - I'm not sure. AC, I think? I created it via t…
  • Aha, excellent. Thank you. :)
