Cursor offset when drag n' dropping items

edited April 2023 in Technical Q&A

It would be great if we could specify a (render) offset to use when items are being dragged n' dropped across the screen.

This would be super convenient when using touch (where your finger currently covers the graphic being dragged), but possibly also during mouse use.

Thanks

  • When using Software cursor rendering, you can define a default click offset for Inventory items in the Cursor Manager. Items will be offset by this amount when used as cursor graphics.

If you use Unity UI for rendering, you can use animation parameters to alter the cursor's position when an item is selected.

  • Aha, I thought that was for the click rather than the rendering. That makes sense tho - will use it for an upcoming touch port 👍
