Vector graphics - can they be used?

edited April 5 in Technical Q&A

I was considering implementing some vector graphics in .svg format using the Vector Graphics experimental package for Unity. The idea was to make navigation menu buttons this way so they always look good. But AC does not allow me to drag the images into the corresponding texture fields in the Menu Editor like it would with a normal .png file. Is there a way to use .svg like this in AC, or should I just stick with .png?

  • With AC-sourced menus, a texture is necessary.

IIRC Unity's svg importer only allows for use in UI components by rastersing the vector graphic, but you may be able to find an extension somewhere. AC wouldn't need to be involved, however, since UI-sourced Menus have their graphics set within the UI prefab rather than the Menu Manager.
