Just adding a player speech from a script?

Turns out I'm using scripts a lot to integrate with AC. Am I missing somewhere that tells me what methods to use to call things that are also action lists? I found the adventure creator scripting guide but no Play Speech was available that I saw.

I want to be able to write a dialogue without having to call an action list and just put a string of what I want to show up in the dialogue box. I'm using some action lists to control the menu and some scripts.

The StartDialog function can be called through custom script to have a character manually speak:

KickStarter.dialog.StartDialog (myCharacter, "Hello");
