Rename Custom Action effects on ActionList asset


I recently had to redo manualy an ActionList asset I had due to a rename in a custom Action I did by mistake. This causes Unity to make the ActionList Editor unstable since all boxes disappears. The final effect is ActionList was updated losing the work done there. So we have to be very careful with custom actions to avoid this kind of things happen, since the side effect is losing some work.

I would ask AC to have a failover control in cases where a custom action is no longer found to avoid the entire action list be corruped and updated in disk. 

Can AC check if the custom action is there, and if it's not, replace the box for some other one avoiding instability in the overall ActionList? This will make AC more robust.
