Overlapping Hotspots

Is it possible to have overlapping hotspots? I have one hotspot for "Machete" and another for "Machete Spot" because there are two totally different interactions that take place in the same location in the scene. The hotspots are different sizes.

I am using "Remember Hotspot" and setting the start state to "Off" on one of them.

However, having them overlapping seems to make it difficult to click the other. If I move it away, it seems to be fine. Is this expected?

2D or 3D?  Overlapping should be fine - when both are on, the mouse cursor will simply react to the one nearest the camera.  If one's off, then there shouldn't be any conflict at all.

When a Hotspot is Off, it's placed on the Ignore Raycast layer.  Check that this is the case, and that there aren't any other objects with colliders on the Default layer that might be interfering.
