Custom Inspector get messy sometimes

edited May 2014 in Engine development
Hullo,

A.C Custom Inspector/Editors sometimes fail to render correctly, GUI elements appear collapsed on top of each others like this :

The only way I've found to render correctly again is to close unity, start it again, and then Reset Layout Factory Settings.

  • Thanks for the alert.  Not sure why this happens - it does seem to be a Unity-related issue.  Fingers crossed this goes away with Unity updates.

It seems like using the "Button" style in the EditorGUILayout.BeginVertical() causes this great mess, after stripping it out, sure it gets a bit uglier, but elements do not collapse anymore.
  • Thanks.  Are you using any other script assets in your project that might be causing a conflict?
  • What do you mean by other script assets? inside the game object itself?

Anyway it happen with any Inspector, be it the menu manager, player script, action lists, it always happen at some point.
  • I meant in your Assets folder - anything that might change the Button style for whatever reason.
  • Not a single one, so far only A.C makes use of the "Button" style!
