Checking a hotspot's interactability in an actionlist...

Hello! I've been experimenting with making a direct-control game, and using solely keyboard controls. So, I've got "look" and "interact" set to keys. My plan is to have a menu that pops up at the bottom, showing the player whether they can look at/interact with/talk to a hotspot they've walked near, but I've run into a problem while cobbling up the actionlist.

The problem, I realise, is that the "Check interaction enabled" actions seem to want a specific hotspot. Is there any way to tell them "just the hotspot under the cursor"?

  • If you're using Context Senstive mode for your interactions, you don't need anything that complex - an Interaction menu will do this for you.

Take the default Interaction Menu, and change it's Appear type to On Hotspot.  It will then show the available icons related to the active Hotspot, and you can style/position it as necessary.
  • Ah, thank you! Much easier.
