Question about direct control mode interactions

My goal is to have the following working:

* Direct control mode
* Player vicinity-based hotspots
* Choose hotspot then interaction
* Cycle through interactions using keys/controller

Everything is set up and working except that after selecting the hotspot, the interaction menu appears then immediately disappears. This seems like it is seeing the cursor as not being over the hotspot... but I don't even want to use a cursor and have it hidden/locked.

Here are my current settings. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious:

  • Sorry - got this working after setting the interaction menu to ignore cursor clicks.

    One question though... if I want to use the same inputs (like arrows) to cycle the menu I need to block movement.

    When I check the "Stop play moving when click Hotspot" it doesn't seem to have any effect.
  • That option isn't a lock - it just stops the player from moving at the time the Hotspot is clicked.  If you want to restrict movement while the Interaction menu is on, use Player: Constrain Actions (one to lock, one to unlock) in your Interaction menu's ActionLists on turn on/off.
