Video for Unity

Hi wonderful Adventure Creator community.
So I am in a pickle, our game makes use of video for cutscenes. Problem is Unity is AWFUL at playing videos.  I am streaming a 6 meg 1080p video and it stutters (playing it to a texture as it has an overlay menu).

Do any of you have a solution out there or can you recommend an asset that we can buy to handle video?

    Have you tried Unity 5.6's new VideoPlayer component?  AC will be supporting it in the upcoming v1.57.

    Nope not yet, when will that update roll out? I am pulling my hair out :P
    Not surprised AC will support it, AC is awesome!

    I tend to stay on the current public release version of Unity as to avoid conflict with AC, I could upgrade early but fear we may run into problems.
