Defining Speaker Labels

I have different versions of my player character named accordingly for costume changes, and his speaker label is the same as his prefab name, for example John_Suit, John_Coat etc. How can I set it so it always just says 'John' instead of the character model name?

  • I see there's a character rename action. I suppose I'll use that for every OnStart & OnLoad cutscene - unless there's a better solution.
  • The speaker label can be set under the "Dialogue settings" section of any character's Inspector.  It'll only default to the GameObject's name if a dedicated label is not set.
