Skippable Dialogue Lines

I know we can define an "End Conversation" input for skipping character conversations (and cutscenes), so could we get an option for skipping each line of dialogue? I have a lot of "linear" dialogue in my game using Dialogue: Play Speech Actions (no voice acting as of yet), and you have to wait until the subtitles for each line have displayed without any way of skipping it.

Unless, this is already possible and I'm missing it?

  • There is - "SkipSpeech".  See the Manual's "Input descriptions" chapter for more.
  • Deckard_89  there's a setting that allows skipping of dialogue with left-click in the settings manager. If you want to map it to something else, goto unity's Input manager and set-up an input (. key?) for SkipSpeech.
  • Ah, thanks guys.

I missed it because it's not listed in the "Available Inputs" list.
  • It should show so long as it's valid.  Let's see your Speech Manager - the options may not be configured to allow for it.

Sorry Chris, I missed your response. Here's my Speech Manager:

EDIT: Aaaand it's right there: Subtitles can be skipped.
    I'm an idiot!

I assume this will also skip the corresponding speech audio (if supplied)?
