Horizontal movement with point and click.

Hi guys aside for porting of my game i'm making a new one from scratch with my friend just to become a little more skilled with AC. We want to make a point and click but only with horizontal movements. The problem is that in point ancd click style i can't freeze y movements.  We made a little horizontal mesh and it seems to work fine until i recognized that doesn't get click in some point for example in upper screen, and sometimes also near player y randomly. Any suggestions?
