In my direct controlled game, I am trying to get the game camera to follow the player along the Z axis, both forward (away from the camera) and back (towards the camera). However, it seems that the player is able to move back towards the camera faster that the camera is able to keep up, and is able to pass through it. I have tried both Target Z & Target into screen options of Z Axis Movement, though I am not sure on the differences (or how else to address this).
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Target Z should be the way to go, if you're talking World Space.
I'm not clear if this is due to speed or position, though. Does the camera reach the correct position eventually once the Player stops moving, or is the camera's resting position wrong?
If the former, try raising the camera's "Follow speed". Otherwise, let's see your camera's Inspector, and how things look in-game.
Here it is in action (sorry for how dark it is):

Yep, looks like just a bit of lag. Raise the "Follow speed" to something much higher.
Yeah that's done it, cheers.
