Hello, I use the first person template from download and try to make a sound source only hearable when close by. But somehow I hear it all over the place. Is that due the first person controller? I followed this sound tutorial
AC doesn't have it own audio system - it's still reliant on Unity's Audio Source / Audio Listener behaviour.
The Audio Listener is - by default - attached to the AC MainCamera object. At runtime, this should attach itself to the First Person camera, so that their positions are one and the same.
You can check this by pausing the game, selecting the MainCamera and checking its position in the Scene window - is it at the same position as the Player's viewpoint?

Yes Main Cam is at FPS position but still I hear sound miles away
Make sure the 'Spatial Blend' of your sound source is dragged all the way to the right, where it says 3D. Then it should work.
