Enable Player-switching, and convert your NPCs to Players that become listed in the Settings Manager along with your default Player.
When Player-switching is enabled, AC will track all Player characters listed in the Settings Manager - but they don't necessarily need to be characters that the actual player controls, so it's a useful system also for tracking Players that effectively act like NPCs.
You can convert an NPC to a Player via the cog menu in their Inspector and choosing "Convert character type".
See this tutorial for a guide to AC's Player-switching system.
Once set up, you can use the Player: Teleport inactive Action to teleport an inactive Player.
